Challenge: Does the League have positions that permit us to take action on these issues, which are likely to arise in 2015? See http://www.lwvil.org/where-we-stand.html, and click on one or more of the following topics:

Campaign finance: Can/should we advocate for small-donor campaign funding? Criminal Justice: Can/should we advocate to provide mental health treatment rather than incarceration?

Energy: Can/should we advocate for closing old and dirty coal power plants and expanding our renewables (solar and wind) Gun Violence Prevention: Can/should we advocate for a ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines?

Pesticides: The Illinois Department of Agriculture receives ~100 complaints annually regarding pesticide spraying, the majority of them related to agricultural drift. Can/should we advocate for regulating pesticide drift?
